Tile cleaning is a very grey area, but it is an area which All Aces Services in Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast are well qualified. Most tiles these days are imported and sold as higher quality flooring. This can cause problems for many customers who are not sure how to identify the tiles when it comes time to clean them. Since certain tiles require certain chemicals, it is always best to have a professional identify the tile for you if you are getting it cleaned or sealed.

It is important not to use home chemicals while maintaining your tile floors. This can cause a sticky residue which will only attract more dirt and debris. All Aces Services has a product known as neutral cleaner, which is probably the best choice for cleaning tiles. It will not leave behind the soil and dirt which other cleaners can cause. We recommend to all of our customers that they have their tiles cleaned at least every 12 months.

When it comes to sealing the tiles, many customers are not aware of the benefits of the action. Tile sealing serves as a protector for the tiles, and keeps stains and debris from penetrating into the them. When you have an accident or spill which would normally stain the tiles, the sealant will keep the stain from seeping into the flooring. As the spills sits on top of the tiles, it remains easier to clean and maintain. Not all tiles can be sealed, for example, ceramic tiles aren’t porous. In the photo below, you can see how to tell if your tile is ceramic, by the water which sits on top of it.

In a pitted or grooves tile, the tiles are created to look natural, but cannot always be sealed. The best way to make sure that you are using the correct sealers and cleaners on your tiles is to call an expert who is qualified in this area. Below is an example of a pitted tile.
